Raw seams, riveted and steel-molded hardware keeps these bags and wallets as rugged as they are beautiful. Signature details abound on these new items – a custom Will Leather Goods lining based on the iconic herringbone pattern; a custom Will zipper pull modeled after an old Talon zipper from Will’s own 1940′s leather bomber jacket, and sturdy 7-8oz. vegetable tanned leather straps. Based on the vegetable tanning process, the lambskin will patina beautifully over time; resulting in a relic to pass from one generation to the next.

Constantly scouring the globe for inspiration, we discovered over 200 rolls of 75 year old fabric in Phuket. Despite their distant origin, the simple, bold stripe patterns reminded us of the engineered stripes of old American work wear and ticking from pioneer days. After doing some research, we found this Pha Sin fabric is hand-woven on foot-powered looms using vegetable dyed jute threads; originally intended for ceremonial skirts worn throughout Thailand. We have re purposed this fabric, giving it new life on the backpack and messenger of our Pha Sin collection.

After Zapotec hand weaving was introduced to the Indians by the Spanish and Pueblos, the vegetable dyed Oa xacan wool rug was born. Weavers used natural elements, including
berries, moss, tree bark and lar vae to achieve the vibrant, varied colors seen throughout the rugs.
