Being leather experts, Will Leather Goods only uses leather made to stand the test of time. Fat Liquors and oils are imbued in the tanning process of the leather to ensure it remains soft and supple over the life of the bag. We are proud to offer low maintenance, rugged leather goods that will only look better with age. The leather we use is kept as “natural” as possible and is meant to patina over time – making the product more personal with each and every day of wear.
Use a damp cotton cloth with warm water to blot stains and “lift” them from the surface of the leather. Then blot with a dry cotton cloth. If the stain does not remove, use a mild solution of detergent (such as Palmolive) and warm water and blot the stain; then blot with a dry cloth.
Due to the nature of the tanning process, oils and fat liquors are imbued in the leather. Not only does this keep the leather soft and supple over the life of the bag, it also allows for scratches to be “bent” out of the leather. If scratched, simply bend and work the area of the bag with your hands – this will lighten the leather and the scratch will disappear over time. Also, the leather color will even out with daily wear/use.
We offer complimentary leather conditioning – please visit one of our retail locations for your conditioning needs. If unable to visit one of our retail locations, please email us and we arrange for conditioning at our Eugene, OR. headquarters.
We use a wide variety of fabrics at Will Leather Goods – from sturdy 18 oz. cotton canvas, to Oaxacan wool rugs, to 50 year old vintage raw-silk Kantha quilts. For the majority of our fabrics, please spot clean fabric w/ a soft brush; if the spot remains, please use a damp soft cotton cloth to “lift” the spot from the fabric. For more specific info, please email us and we will be happy to discuss fabric care in detail.
Navajo Raven Bead Belt
Oregon Trail Collection
The trailblazers who settled in Oregon country persevered against natural elements and human circumstances we will never know. Their every day items were often shaped by the rugged environment and the indigenous cultures they met along the trail. Inspired by saddle tooling, sun worn leathers and native art forms, our Oregon Trail belt collection reflects the hard work and unique spirit of the pioneers – something we believe Americans continue to embody today.
