A Weekend of Legacy, Leather & Local Pride

On July 5th, 2025, the energy in Eugene, Oregon was electric.

The sold-out Prefontaine Classic—an iconic event in track and field—brought together fans from around the world. And for us at Will Leather Goods, it marked a powerful hometown moment: stepping into the spotlight as an official sponsor of Pre50, sharing our story, and showing the world what handcrafted leather, community, and heritage truly mean.

From the break of dawn, people lined up—many having camped out the night before—for a chance to own a piece of history. Our exclusive Pre50 Nike Air Max 1s, paired with a handcrafted, full-grain leather shoebox made right here in Oregon, sold out in just 45 minutes. It was a proud testament to the craftsmanship we pour into every stitch.

But it wasn’t just about the products.

Throughout the weekend, our team welcomed visitors into our booth at the vendor fair and VIP area. We hosted our signature Community Hide experience, where kids and adults alike hand-embossed their initials onto a communal piece of leather—each mark telling a story of creativity, connection, and shared memory. We offered on-the-spot leather embossing on luggage tags, passed out limited-edition goods, and shared what it means to be a family-owned leather company rooted in Eugene for over four decades.

This event wasn’t just a sponsorship—it was a celebration.

We met incredible people. We connected with media and Nike team members. We saw our leather goods in the hands of new friends and longtime fans. We felt what it means to be part of something bigger than ourselves: a community built on passion, performance, and pride.
