Artisan Hand Laced Bucket Bag

The only tool used in making these bags is a knife to cut strips of leather.
Hand-crafted by a consortium of artisan women working in small Turkish villages, these woven leather totes are a beautiful celebration of traditional leather craftsmanship.
The bags are hand-crafted from vegetable-tanned leather, the same material used for our enduring belts that last for a lifetime. The leather lace is cut to 1.8mm, and it's dipped into an oil that softens it, allowing it to be woven by hand through different perforations on the base of the bag.
